PROGRAMS & IMPACT

Turning Opportunity
Into Action

At our core, Women Golfers Give Back is a grant-making organization.

We fund girls-only golf programs that remove barriers to participation and intentionally support confidence, resilience, and personal growth alongside golf instruction.

Why Funding Access to Golf Matters

Golf remains one of the least accessible youth sports. Lack of exposure, program costs, equipment, and facility access can quickly put participation out of reach. Our grants help close that gap so girls can step onto the course with confidence.

How Our Grants Make an Impact

Funded programs are dedicated to helping girls:

Learn golf skills in supportive environments

Build confidence through challenge and progress

Develop communication and relationship-building skills

Experience mentorship and positive role models

Funded Programs and Grantees

Each year, WGGB partners with organizations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware to ensure funding reaches girls where it is needed most.

The clinics we support are run through individual coaches as well as First Tee chapters, offering girls ages 7-17 the chance to learn the fundamentals of golf in a fun and supportive, girls-only environment.

Players’ Programs go beyond basic skills for girls who wish to play competitive golf. Instruction includes course play, game management, fitness, etiquette, and nutrition. Many participants will compete in tournaments and prepare for college golf.

In addition, WGGB grants have supported scholarships, tournaments, and other unique golf programs for girls.

Applying for a Grant

Applications are submitted during the open application period, typically November through January. Organizations are asked to share information about their program, the girls they serve, and how the funding will be used. Applications are reviewed by WGGB’s Grantee Committee, with funding decisions announced following the review process.

For more information about grant applications, reach out to our Executive Director, Rachel Shearon.
