Across our region, talented and curious girls are eager to learn, grow, and belong, yet golf remains out of reach. Without access to programs, equipment, or financial support, many never experience the character and leadership development that comes from mastering something challenging.
Women Golfers Give Back was created more than 20 years ago by a group of women golfers who understood firsthand what golf can unlock over a lifetime.
Through their careers and lives, they experienced a unique power. Golf built confidence in unfamiliar spaces. It created access to conversations that shaped careers. It fostered adult friendships rooted in shared time, trust, and respect. And it taught skills that extended far beyond the course, from focus and communication to perseverance and self-advocacy.
These women also recognized a hard truth: opportunities in golf have long been unequally distributed. Without encouragement and access, many girls are excluded from the personal, professional, and social benefits the game can offer later in life. WGGB was founded to change that trajectory by opening doors earlier and more intentionally with girls-only programs and opportunities.
When a girl builds confidence on the course, it shows up everywhere. In school. At home. In relationships. Many return as mentors, volunteers, and advocates, creating a cycle of opportunity for others.
In golf and in life, everything comes down to the next shot. We help girls face each one with confidence, intention, and belief in themselves, building resilience that carries beyond the course.
